"As an artist, I explore the virtual realm by merging digital capture with non-photographic software to create unique visuals. In my “Redux” series, I subvert iconic masterpieces, projecting them into a future that evolves continuously. My intention is not to diminish the original artists but to invite viewers to appreciate the beauty of their work.I call my process Digi-Pop, which blends traditional art forms with contemporary techniques. This approach allows me to create a body of work that includes landscapes and still life, inspired by significant art throughout history. I look forward to expanding the themes within the “Redux” series, continuing to engage audiences in new ways."

Jean-Marie Guyaux is a Belgian-born digital artist/photographer who arrived in Manhattan at the tail end of the Warhol years. He began his visual journey by attending SVA and the New School for Social Research while assisting preeminent photographers. As a freelancer his work was featured in major publications including The New York Times, Newsweek and Time magazines as well as French and Italian Vogue. His projects for major NYC advertising agencies have resulted in his work being a mainstay of the New York theater community, including dozens of Broadway productions and the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
In 2010, Jean-Marie put his emphasis on capturing the absurdities of our commonality and the impermanence of time. Close ups of vandalized subway posters, of crashed and mangled cars as well as overhead shots of people in search of utopia. By 2015, Jean-Marie’s focus turned to the domain of Digital Art. By disrupting the code of iconic images he found himself at the forefront of the Digital Pop Art movement, a synthesis of Neo-Pop and Glitch Art. His digital renderings can be found in collections located in San Francisco and New York, USA as well as Germany, France, Spain and Belgium.
When venturing into the algorithm of video he has teamed up with soundscape artist Sounderella 007 and the collaborations are contemplative, psychedelic and always mesmeric. Jean-Marie’s video works have been viewed in Denmark, the UK and Croatia.
