Located just steps from the Sagrada Familia, Uxval Gochez reflects the independent and dynamic character of Barcelona’s artistic scene. From its base in the city, the gallery represents artists of different nationalities and backgrounds, promoting an open and international perspective while remaining connected to the cultural context in which it was founded.

The gallery draws inspiration from the tradition of Barcelona’s independent galleries—spaces that have long supported artists and encouraged new voices in contemporary art—while extending this spirit into the international circuit. Within this framework, Uxval Gochez also maintains a close relationship with Madrid, contributing to an ongoing dialogue between the two artistic contexts.

Its curatorial program focuses on young and emerging artists, particularly those whose work shows strong potential but has not yet gained wide visibility. The gallery works to support and promote these artists, helping them reach new audiences and enter international markets.

To do so, Uxval Gochez combines a strong digital presence on platforms oriented toward collectors in North America and Northern Europe with an active physical program: a large exhibition space in Barcelona and regular participation in art fairs throughout the year.

The gallery’s aim is to discover and support artists with distinctive voices, providing the context and visibility needed to develop their work and connect with a broader international audience.

Through out the history of the project, the collaborations include: Evru, Gino Rubert, Yamandú Canosa, Patricia Bentancur, Antonio Ortega, Guillermo Pfaff, Stella Rahola, Paul Pretzer, among others.

Originally founded as "Aurora" by Uxval Gochez, it changed its name with the turn of the decade.
