"La nature, les paysages, la lumière et l’architecture sont mes principales sources d’inspiration. La mer, les bateaux et les paysages méditerranéens — comme la Côte Vermeille ou la Costa Brava — nourrissent souvent mon travail. Le croquis occupe une place centrale : le contraste entre l’encre noire et le papier blanc me permet de rechercher spontanéité et simplicité. L’aquarelle m’a appris à prendre des risques et à me faire confiance, et je l’utilise pour apporter transparence et légèreté à mes dessins.

L’acrylique me permet de jouer avec les effets de matière et de travailler sur de grands formats avec un geste plus libre. Je cherche à capter les couleurs de la nature, la lumière et les contrastes, guidée par l’idée de simplicité chère à Albert Marquet, comme l’exprimait Saint-Exupéry : « la perfection est atteinte non quand il n’y a plus rien à ajouter, mais quand il n’y a plus rien à retirer ». Enfin, le pastel sec, avec ses couleurs vives et son toucher velouté, m’aide à synthétiser un paysage tout en gardant la précision du dessin."

"Nature, landscapes, light, and architecture are my main sources of inspiration. The sea, boats, and Mediterranean settings — such as the Côte Vermeille or the Costa Brava — often guide my work. Sketching is central: the contrast of black ink on white paper allows me to pursue spontaneity and simplicity. Watercolor has taught me to take risks and trust myself, bringing transparency and lightness to my drawings.

Acrylic gives me the freedom to explore texture — transparency and opacity — and to work on larger formats with a looser gesture. I aim to capture the colors of nature, its light and contrasts, inspired by Albert Marquet’s search for simplicity, echoing Saint-Exupéry’s words: “Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.” Finally, dry pastel, with its vivid colors and soft touch, lets me condense a landscape while preserving the precision of the line."

Nacida en Toulouse en 1974, Marion creció entre su ciudad natal y Normandía antes de instalarse en el suroeste de Francia, en la frontera con España, donde reside actualmente.

Arquitecta de formación, estudió en Toulouse y en Barcelona, y trabajó durante casi veinte años como arquitecta independiente. Ha acompañado a particulares y asesorado a municipios en la preservación del patrimonio, principalmente en el suroeste de Francia, así como en la Costa Azul, en ciudades como Niza y Antibes. Su trayectoria también la llevó a Canadá, donde pasó seis meses en una agencia de arquitectura en Toronto.

Vinculada a la pintura desde sus años de estudio, ha explorado técnicas como el dibujo, la acuarela, el acrílico —que practicó en la escuela de artes plásticas de Niza— y más recientemente el pastel seco. Hace dos años decidió dedicarse por completo a la creación artística y desde entonces ha participado en exposiciones colectivas e individuales en Francia y España.

La naturaleza está en el centro de su inspiración: los paisajes mediterráneos, los pinos, los matices azules del mar y la luz de esta región alimentan su trabajo. Viajera y atenta al entorno, nutre su mirada a través del contacto con distintas culturas, que se refleja en la sensibilidad presente en sus obras.

Born in Toulouse in 1974, Marion grew up between her hometown and Normandy before settling in the southwest of France, near the Spanish border, where she currently lives.

Trained as an architect, she studied in Toulouse and later in Barcelona, working for nearly twenty years as an independent architect. She has supported private clients and advised municipalities on heritage preservation, mainly in the southwest of France as well as on the French Riviera, in cities such as Nice and Antibes. Her career also took her to Canada, where she spent six months at an architecture firm in Toronto.

Connected to painting since her student years, she has explored drawing, watercolor, acrylic—studied at the School of Fine Arts in Nice—and more recently dry pastel. Two years ago, she chose to devote herself fully to her artistic practice, and has since participated in several group and solo exhibitions in France and Spain.

Nature is at the core of her inspiration: Mediterranean landscapes, pine trees, blue coastal tones, and the light of the region shape her work. A traveler attentive to her surroundings, she enriches her vision through contact with different cultures, a sensibility that echoes throughout her paintings.
