Marion Sagon, nacida en Nîmes en 1983, se formó en la École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Montpellier (MO.CO. | ESBA), donde obtuvo el DNAP y el DNSAP. Tras cinco años en Londres, se estableció en Ámsterdam en 2016. Expone regularmente y participa en proyectos artísticos en distintos países de Europa.
Su obra propone interpretaciones idealizadas de los paisajes contemporáneos, concebidas como reflejos sublimados de nuestra realidad. Su proceso creativo parte de imágenes recopiladas o fotografías que traslada al ámbito virtual, para luego reinterpretarlas pictóricamente, imitando el gesto de la máquina. En el espacio expositivo, sus obras se presentan como ventanas a entornos artificiales donde naturaleza y arquitectura conviven en un equilibrio entre lo real y lo imaginario.
Situadas entre la utopía y la distopía, sus creaciones abordan la dualidad del mundo contemporáneo a través de arquitecturas cerradas, paisajes industriales y mensajes visuales contradictorios. Su práctica explora conceptos como el paisaje, el ecofeminismo y el Antropoceno, y reflexiona sobre nuestra relación con la realidad en un contexto marcado por la virtualidad, Internet y la inteligencia artificial.

Marion Sagon, born in Nîmes in 1983, studied at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Montpellier (MO.CO. | ESBA), where she obtained both the DNAP and DNSAP. After five years in London, she settled in Amsterdam in 2016. She exhibits her work regularly and takes part in artistic projects throughout Europe.
Her work offers idealized interpretations of contemporary landscapes, acting as sublimated reflections of our own reality. Her creative process begins with collected images or photographs, which she translates into the virtual realm before reinterpreting them through painting, in an attempt to mimic the gesture of the machine. Within the gallery space, her works become windows onto artificial environments where nature and human constructions coexist, balancing between the real and the imaginary.
Positioned between utopia and dystopia, her works explore the dualities of the contemporary world through industrial landscapes, impenetrable architectures, and contradictory visual messages. Her practice addresses themes such as landscape, ecofeminism, and the Anthropocene, while also reflecting on our relationship with reality in an era shaped by virtuality, the internet, and artificial intelligence.
