Miguel Ángel González Marrero nació el 23 de marzo de 1975 en Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Islas Canarias, España), donde reside y trabaja actualmente. Es un artista plástico con más de tres décadas de trayectoria profesional, iniciada en 1995 de manera autodidacta. En la actualidad compagina su práctica artística con la docencia, impartiendo clases académicas de dibujo en Granadilla de Abona (Tenerife).

 

A lo largo de su carrera ha desarrollado distintas disciplinas, entre ellas ilustración, cartelería, diseño publicitario, muralismo y retrato. Su trabajo forma parte de colecciones de empresas, instituciones públicas, hoteles y coleccionistas particulares.

 

 

Su obra pictórica se sitúa entre la abstracción y la figuración, dos lenguajes que articula en un diálogo continuo con el espectador. Sus composiciones se construyen a partir de la relación entre luz, color y ritmo, y se desarrollan principalmente sobre papel y lienzo. Trabaja con una amplia variedad de técnicas y materiales —grafito, carboncillo, acrílico, óleo, acuarela, metal y medios mixtos— que emplea de forma individual o combinada según las necesidades de cada obra. Su práctica se caracteriza por la exploración constante de recursos plásticos y por una investigación continua que integra tradición pictórica y planteamientos contemporáneos.

Miguel Ángel González Marrero was born on March 23, 1975, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain), where he currently lives and works. He is a visual artist with more than three decades of professional experience, having begun his career in 1995 as a self-taught painter. He currently combines his studio practice with teaching, giving academic drawing classes in Granadilla de Abona (Tenerife).

 

Throughout his career, he has worked across various disciplines, including illustration, poster design, advertising design, mural painting, and portraiture. His work is held in collections of companies, public institutions, hotels, and private collectors.

 

His painting moves between abstraction and figuration, two visual languages that he develops in an ongoing dialogue with the viewer. His compositions are structured through the relationship between light, color, and rhythm, and are primarily executed on paper and canvas. He works with a wide range of techniques and materials — including graphite, charcoal, acrylic, oil, watercolor, metal, and mixed media — using them individually or in combination according to the needs of each work. His practice is defined by continuous exploration and research, bringing together pictorial tradition and contemporary approaches.
