The word Matter carries multiple layers of meaning. It refers to the physical substance of which things are made, but also to what holds significance, what matters.

This exhibition brings together seven contemporary artists from different countries, backgrounds, and disciplines. Through diverse materials, techniques, and visual languages, each artist explores the idea of matter both as form and as content.

On one level, the works speak to the tangible: texture, surface, material presence. On another, they reflect on the personal, social, or emotional weight that art can carry. Whether through abstraction, figuration, or conceptual processes, the pieces in this exhibition invite us to consider not only what we see, but what lies beneath.

By presenting distinct artistic voices in dialogue, MATTER opens space for reflection on what gives form to our perceptions, and what gives them meaning.
